“I’m at a point where I want to grow, but I just don't know what’s next, and I definitely don’t want to book MORE weddings for myself...”
“I know I need to elevate my aesthetic to book higher paying clients, but I’ve completely plateaued. None of the couples who are inquiring could afford me if I raised my prices.”
“I’d love to get my foot in the door with a wedding planner, but I don’t know how to make that happen authentically. It would be so great would it be to get in front of their clients!”
“My business is polished on the outside but a complete mess on the inside. I’m worried that my lack of organization will cost me clients. When it comes to making sense out of all this, I don’t even know where to start.”
“I’m confident in my business and proud of what I’ve built. Now, I want to work less and earn more. It’s time to scale.”
Believe me, I get it. I’ve been there before, too, so I know the thought process… Does any of this sound familiar?
Your clients deserve more than “see what sticks” strategies in your business.
Now, I’m sharing my secrets with you.
In other words, I did the damn thing.
And because I’m a goody two shoes, getting canned was deeply devastating in the moment, but in hindsight? Totally worth it. In fact, getting fired was the best thing to ever happen to me.
Cut to twelve years and hundreds of weddings later, our studio is an authority in the fine art wedding industry in Santa Barbara and beyond. Our team has grown to include four photographers and five-figure bookings, but that’s nothing compared to the hundreds of delighted couples who’ve shouted our name from the rooftops.
Little did I know that I’d be fired from that dead-end desk job later the same day for building my photography website on the clock (oops).
When I founded Anna Delores Photography in 2012, I was standing over a photocopier at my nine-to-five job in a sad, grey cubicle, trying to devise an exit strategy.

“Emily offers real, actionable, applicable knowledge for new and seasoned photographers alike. Hers is a very thoughtful, meaningful, and holistic approach to the documentation of a wedding day and it’s an approach that resonates with her clients and fellow vendors.”
Deline Photography
“Emily is approachable, her teaching style is great, and she is worth the investment. She walked us through each step, even the hard ones and the difficult decisions. Her informative, well-laid-out coaching gives real life examples; I want to learn from someone who's been through the hard stuff."
Kerry Anne Photography
“Emily’s mentorship gave me the attention I needed to ask my personal questions and have Emily’s expert eyes on my work. She selected photos for publication from my galleries, led me through feedback, and shed light on blind spots I had in my work. I’m now able to tell a better story for my clients!”
Simply Smith Photography
“I’ve been shooting weddings for about eight years now but I am working to take my business to the next level. I feel like I have a pretty good clientele and my name’s already out there, I just really wanted to take it up a notch, and I knew that Emily would really teach me that. And she did—she brought it.”
The Wedding Styling Playbook was developed as an all-inclusive guide for photographers and other wedding pros to elevate their styling skills. Modules focus on flat lay styling, reception details, and collaborating with vendors to reinforce the importance of details when telling a couple’s wedding day story.
To help wedding professionals reach their full potential, I specialize in sharing and showing the life-changing benefits of hiring a team, outsourcing, and automating tasks. I’ve managed a team of associates since 2014 and run a profitable wedding studio of four photographers covering over 40 celebrations every year.

Let me show you how.
Your photography business is destined for success.
It’s been more than a decade since I left corporate life, and some lessons have been tougher to learn than others—that’s the beauty of learning from someone who’s done it before you. The failures have already happened; the mistakes have already been made.
And lucky you—through in-person workshops, online courses, or one-on-one mentoring, I lead photographers to grow thriving businesses in the wedding industry and beyond.
When it comes to building a thriving business that supports the life of your design, I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned.
As a full-time photographer, you’re only behind the camera about half the time (if that!). My focus is on empowering you to master EVERY piece of your business (and not just the pretty pictures).
Delivering a stunning gallery to your clients is just a fraction of the work; I’m striving to help you tell a beautiful story AND have your act together behind the scenes. You deserve a legit business, don’t you think?
Excellence in both the aesthetic details AND the business acumen required to achieve a healthy, thriving business.
