In early February in Santa Barbara, Vanessa Noel Events and I hosted a workshop focused on wedding styling for photographers. It was fantastic! I had an incredible time meeting and talking to the attendees, and Vanessa led a creative team in producing a stellar series of vignettes for us to photograph.
After some “classroom” time to accompany breakfast and coffee (and a mimosa bar, duh), we moved into some hands-on styling practice with “flat lays” (including bride and groom personal details, engagement rings from Everett, and an invitation suite by The Idea Emporium) and a reception table. The design for the table was inspired by vintage fabric Vanessa picked up in New Orleans; the vibe was Ralph Lauren-meets-Jane Austen “grandma chic.”
We were treated to the most delicious lunch by Field To Table, and to wrap up the workshop, former Anna Delores clients Christy and Brady came to model as our bride and groom (thank you to Jenny of Blushing Beauty for Christy’s hair and makeup!).
We wrapped with cocktails and conversation. The day went so well; it was everything I’d hoped it would be and more! I’m so appreciative for the vendors who contributed to the success of the workshop and am really looking forward to the next one!
