Samantha and Adam’s Zaca Creek Ranch wedding in early summer was a romantic affair in the heart of Santa Ynez. It was so wonderful working with this lovely couple and their wedding planner, Jill & Co. Events!
The couple first met in Philadelphia, then moved to California together about a year and a half into dating. They describe their relationship as fun from the very beginning! They love to surf, hike, and give back to their communities (Adam is involved with City Surf Project and sustainability efforts, and Sam is focused on education reform and CASA).
Sam had been joking with Adam for months that she could see a proposal was coming, so Adam knew that he had to put a lot of effort into surprising her. They had plans to meet up with friends for a weekend in Yosemite, and decided to take an extra day off work to have more time in the valley together. They drove into Yosemite by themselves that morning, and went on a beautiful trail run where Adam surprised Sam by asking her in front of Half Dome. When they got to the campsite, their friends surprised them (many from out of town) with a beautiful engagement party! Sam was definitely surprised, and they had fun celebrating with everyone the entire weekend.
We always have a soft spot for an emotional first look, and Sam looked so beautiful, it’s no surprise Adam was in tears when he first saw her. The entire weekend was an incredible celebration with the couple’s family and friends, complete with alpaca photo ops!
