As seen on Martha Stewart Weddings
Jaime of Wild Heart Events executed her usual magic for this incredible couple, who own and operate Burn Hot Sauce. The wedding was hosted at Amanda and Chase’s homestead residence, which sits on top of a hill with a view of the ocean in the distance (!!). It was a breathtaking setting for their celebration, with a perfect balance of minimalism and whimsy in the design of both ceremony and reception spaces.
The pièce de résistance of the reception was the escort display. Drawing inspiration from Amanda and Chase’s hot sauce company, Wild Heart Events worked with Sophia Loves Letters to hand-letter table seating information on large pickling jars. The jars were filled with the same fermented ingredients used to create Burn Hot Sauce, and then Jaime and Erika utilized Amanda’s own cookbooks (color blocked, of course) to add extra dimension. The display was finished with a custom “Spicy Wife, Spicy Life” sign that Jaime gifted the couple on their wedding day!
Amanda also changed from her ceremony dress + duster combo to a second Berta bridal gown, perfect for hitting the dance floor (and getting some killer magic hour portraits in the field behind their ceremony spot — just you wait!). The reception brimmed with so much life and celebration — Dart Collective’s band The Half Moons rocked the dance floor (and welcomed an on-stage appearance by the groom for a rendition of “Wild Thing”), and World Pizza Champion Justin Wadstein tossed dough in the air before wood-firing late-night pizza snacks. A drum circle assembled during the transition from band to DJ as a nod to Chase and Amanda’s first meeting seven years ago (yes, they met at a drum circle!).
You get it, right? It was a ridiculously incredible day.
