As seen in California Wedding Day magazine
SO. DARN. EXCITED. to finally be sharing Sarah and Mel’s wedding day with y’all! These Texan lovebirds came to Santa Barbara to celebrate their April wedding at the Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore. With designer and planner extraordinaire Jessica Kuipers of Onyx + Redwood at the helm, Sarah and Mel’s “Moroccan nights” wedding day was executed to perfection. From the Mayan ruins-inspired chuppah (constructed from lush florals by Precious + Blooming) to the black-and-white custom dance floor (modeled after Moroccan tile) by Bella Vista Designs, the design was sophisticated, dimensional, and show-stopping.
I LOVED the color palette that Jessica and Kellye put together — the combination of velvety grey, rich reds, iridescent black, and a spectrum of metallics was something I’ve never seen before. Reception tables were sprinkled with geodes, black chargers featured subtle gold speckles, and Sophia‘s stunning hand-foiled menus rested on silvery silk napkins. Every time I encountered the next “phase” of Sarah and Mel’s wedding (the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the dinner reception, the dance floor…) I was stunned with the intricate beauty of the design they created.
It was such a joy to spend their wedding weekend with Sarah and Mel; they are warm, kind, and incredibly sweet humans. I’m so grateful to have met them and participated in this breathtaking day with two beautiful families and an all-star cast of vendors.
These babes are in the current issue of California Wedding Day, on newsstands RIGHT NOW! And here are our faves, of course. Enjoy.
