The night before Casey and Ben’s wedding, their people gathered for a rehearsal dinner and welcome reception at MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation, right in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. It was a perfect summer Friday evening: warm air, coastal breeze, and just enough buzz in the air to let everyone know the weekend was about to be something special.
Casey and Ben really brought the fun with their Italian-inspired rehearsal dinner ideas. Their theme was “Love and Pizza,” and the rooftop of the MOXI was transformed into a summery Italian patio. The neutral striped umbrellas and linens were accented with centerpieces made of dried pasta and fresh tomatoes. Aperol spritzes were on repeat, and pizza and gelato were served. Guests arrived in colorful attire and floral prints and made their way up to the museum’s rooftop, where the views stretched from the city to the sea.
Tables draped in brick red linens were set up under strings of café lights for friends and family to enjoy their pizza. Casey and Ben kept it casual—no speeches or organized activities, just warm hugs, clinking glasses, and the kind of belly laughs that only happen when your favorite people are all in one place.
By the end of the night, guests had already started calling it “the best rehearsal dinner ever.” And they hadn’t even seen the wedding yet (which you can see for yourself, right over here).
