First things first: where did 2019 go?!
This year FLEW by. Jeremy and I got engaged in February and all of a sudden, it’s the end of October and we’ve been engaged for eight months already? I’m SO thankful we chose a 2021 wedding date so we can enjoy our engagement a little longer! EEK!
The fast-approaching end of the year also means it’s time for holiday gift-giving! It should come as no surprise that, as your wedding photographers, our top recommendations for gifts that your friends and family will love are photo prints, albums, and keepsakes. Here are some ideas for printing your beloved photographs to give as holiday presents!
Prints in a keepsake box
Good old-fashioned prints on beautiful photographic paper never go out of style. This is a simple but lovely way to give someone prints from a wedding or portrait session (so they have something tangible in hand instead of just digital images on their computers!). The gift receiver could frame a couple of the 4×6″ prints and house the rest in their antique brass and glass heirloom box — a much nicer display option than a shoebox of photos!
Fine art album
This is our FAVORITE way to commemorate a wedding day! Whether a gift for your spouse (if you never ordered an album of your own from your wedding day), or a token of love and appreciation for parents or grandparents (we love the 8×8″ size for family members!), an album is a perfect holiday surprise. We also keep it simple by designing the album for you, so that the artful arranging of images is already done and all you have to do is approve it before it’s sent to print! You can also switch any of the photos in the album before it’s finalized, so if you have favorite images that we missed, you still have a chance to add them in. We can even do gift-wrapping and drop-shipping for you, so the recipient won’t see any pricing info and it arrives ready for gifting!
Framed prints
We love framed wall art that serves as a daily reminder of a happy occasion! Displaying photos of your wedding day or loved ones instantly elevates the joy in your home. Share this joy with your family by giving them photos that are already framed and ready to hang on their walls!

DIY framed prints
If you want to get a little more creative and frame some photos yourself, you can always order prints directly from your online gallery and add them to a frame yourself! We LOVE the idea of a multiple-opening frame or even a few frames of varying sizes for the gift recipient to start their own gallery wall. You can find quality frames at Target or even craft stores like Michael’s (they are almost always running a special deal on frames), and you can either get the frames pre-matted or have custom mats made for a frame of your choice. The options are endless!
