Kate and Matt’s wedding (the very first Ocean View Farm wedding in Carpinteria!) was a bohemian DREAM! The mirror escort display, the floral chandelier, the mustard-and-mauve lounge… so many show-stopping details at this wedding! With Wild Heart Events at the helm, it was no surprise.
Kate and Matt’s first date earned Matt a parking ticket that night because he didn’t think the date would last as long as it did! One of Kate’s favorite memories from when they first started dating was going to the beach in the middle of the week on their third date; Matt says that’s when he knew that Kate was “the one.” Six months later, the couple moved in together on Halloween into a little cottage in Manhattan Beach. Then they moved to Santa Barbara, their favorite place ever, where they tied the knot almost four years after their first date.
Kate and Matt enlisted the help of Jaime and Erika of Wild Heart Events to execute their vision for a bohemian, romantic wedding vibe. The statement mirror escort display was a beautiful focal point of the cocktail hour space, created in collaboration with Sophia Loves Letters. Carla from Idlewild Floral Design created the dreamiest floral arch for the ceremony, and a show-stopping chandelier in the reception barn. Jaime worked with Hostess Haven to produce extras of their mustard print, mud-cloth-inspired napkins to complement alternating macrame runners and La Tavola Linen’s new mustard fringe linen runners. Slate Catering created beautiful (and delicious!) edible centerpieces for guests to enjoy while waiting for dinner service by Autostrada Pizza. In lieu of wedding cake, Kate and Matt’s guests enjoyed ice cream sandwiches by The Wild Posy.
