This Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding was a day of crazy-high temperatures (triple digits in the Santa Susana Mountains), homemade limoncello, late night snacks of In-N-Out Burger and s’mores, and rapping bridesmaids (well, just ONE rapping bridesmaid — the sister of the bride mixed it up with a speech of her own lyrics set to Sugarhill Gang’s “Rapper’s Delight”). Celeste and Matt’s love for each other is so obvious (both bride and groom shed some tears upon seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony), but they also just wanted to have fun (which is truly the BEST kind of attitude for a couple on their wedding day).
Celeste’s vows to Matt joked, “here we are; we did it. We convinced all these people to travel 3,000 miles to celebrate our wedding.” Friends and family traveled from New York to get their fill of Southern California’s August heat wave (at least it was a dry heat!) and were greeted with stunningly well-curated details (executed by Amanda of Tricia Dahlgren Events) that appropriately reflected the happy union of two people madly in love.
