Tamlyn and George really leaned into the “pivot” required for couples getting married in 2020; originally planning a 200-guest affair, the two opted for a shift to a small courthouse ceremony.
Then, changes in local venue regulations and the threat of rain on their outdoor ceremony plans offered additional exercises in flexibility for this patient bride and groom in the week leading up to their big day. Fortunately, their positive attitudes and focus on each other made for a smooth transition to an indoor ceremony space.
So, on a stormy Saturday morning in early November, Tamlyn and George said “I do” at the beautiful Hotel Californian in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. Joined by just twelve guests, including their officiant, the couple’s heartfelt ceremony was hosted in the Alhambra ballroom.
Tamlyn was stunning in a simple BHLDN sheath gown, carrying all-white blooms from local florist Fleur de Rye; bridesmaids wore emerald green dresses and had more petite versions of Tamlyn’s bridal bouquet. George mirrored his bride’s classic elegance in all-black menswear, patent shoes, and velvet bow tie from The Black Tux.
As Tamlyn put it, “pandemic and rain be damned!” Here are a few favorites from their sweet Hotel Californian micro wedding.
