Rachel and Andrew selected a festive carnival theme for their Greengate Ranch wedding in early April! I arrived the day before the wedding to meet the couple’s family and bridal party and check out the ceremony rehearsal; the ceremony location was moved indoors because of the rainy day forecast. The stables at Greengate turned out to be a perfect setting for these two to say “I do.” It DID rain during the ceremony (SUCH a good move to have the ceremony indoors), but we were gifted with about an hour of lovely, subdued sunlight for Rachel and Andrew’s first look and portraits — it was perfection.
The couple’s sweet dogs Maya & Ned were present to help celebrate, Rachel and Andrew’s stand-up comedian friend Justin officiated the ceremony, and the photo booth and dance floor were both packed all evening long.
This couple totally nailed it with their carnival vibes. I admitted to them that when someone says to me “vintage circus theme” for a wedding, I’m dubious. But they pulled it together with the right combination of colors, creative props, and the coolest carnival games cocktail hour we ever did see.
