As seen on The Perfect Palette
Weddings decked out in shades of blue will truly never go out of style, as demonstrated by this editorial at the Langham Pasadena.
It’s easy to get creative with blue wedding color ideas by incorporating watercolor techniques, geode elements, and complementary shades of purples, greens, and golds. Introducing a ton of texture is what really makes any color scheme pop, so it helps to have lots of layers (think linens, dinnerware, glassware, stationery, and TONS of flowers).
Hints of soft lavender and greenery in the floral arrangements (do you see the artichokes? LOVE!) also keep the decor from becoming too monochromatic or predictable. Blue is obviously still the star of the show, but bringing in some supporting actors helps keep your decor from falling flat.
The invitation suite, tiered wedding cake, and linens from La Tavola are on-theme with blue watercolor designs. Watercolor feels romantic, dynamic, and whimsical, which definitely set the tone for this editorial at the Langham!
