Hello from the ladies at HoneyFitz Events! We are so excited to be guest blogging for our friends at Anna Delores Photography! We love working with the Anna Delores team so much that we thought we would share a few words about the importance of vendor relationships and chemistry on the day of your wedding.
Building your wedding “dream team” can be quite the task, but it is so important to build a team of vendors that make you feel amazing when they surround you on your big day! You want to feel completely confident in all of the vendors you select, but you also want to know that they will gel and work well together to bring your vision to life. Here are a few of our tips on hiring the perfect team of vendors.
Go with your gut
If you feel good about something, then go with it. If you meet with a vendor and you feel like they are going to be your best friend, hire them! You are spending months planning your wedding and you want to enjoy the people you plan with. You want to build a team of vendors that you love, trust, and respect so go with your instincts when meeting with vendors.
Trust your team
You hand-selected them, so believe in them! Rely on their advice and recommendations of other vendors. Vendors love to refer people they are comfortable working with, which is great because you can count on them working well together, which is key for a flawless execution on your big day! Trust their advice when planning out the details, you have hired them because they are an expert, leverage that and use it to your advantage!
Communication
Be transparent and honest. If you do not like something or the direction in which your vendors are headed, speak up! Your vendors are professionals who are in the business of making you happy. In addition, let your planner be in charge of vendor communication to set the precedence on the day of the wedding. If your planner is communicating in advance of your event, vendors will know to correspond directly with them on the day of instead of contacting you with questions (trust us, you will go CRAZY if vendors are trying to connect with you about little questions on the morning of your wedding day)!
We know that planning and building an all star team can be overwhelming, but if you keep these tips in mind, it will make the process much easier. We cannot express enough how important it is to surround yourself with an amazing team that makes you feel supported and carefree!
