Marlene and Adam’s at home engagement session in Santa Monica, California was extra-special because Marlene is a good friend of mine! We first met years ago when she was still more involved in the wedding industry; now, she does more specialty catering in the Los Angeles area, but we made a point to keep in touch and I’m so grateful for our friendship — Marlene is the best! When she and Adam got engaged, I was SO freakin’ excited that they asked me to photograph their wedding at Smoky Hollow Studios in El Segundo (with Emilee from Tasteful Tatters on board, we’ve got the dream team underway!).
I LOVE that Mar and Adam agreed to do engagement photos at their Santa Monica apartment; I think the at-home engagement session is SO special because it helps to capture your daily life at this moment in time (I already love that engagement sessions can commemorate the very limited and unique part of a relationship, the time between getting engaged and getting married).
