Janessa and David are amazing examples of grace and flexibility in making the most of tough circumstances with their Santa Barbara micro wedding. Originally slated to get married in May at the Four Seasons (where David proposed!), the couple pivoted to a backyard celebration when their venue shut down due to COVID-19. They downsized even further to a guest list that included only immediate family for the ceremony in Dave’s parents’ backyard in Montecito. They didn’t complain and they were so incredible about “going with the flow” as we worked with their planner, Sophie at Amazing Days Events, to give them the beautiful celebration they deserved.
Even though it was completely different than the festivities they’d originally imagined, Janessa and Dave’s micro-wedding was perfection. Janessa had her hair + makeup done at San Ysidro Ranch, where her bridesmaids gathered to toast the happy couple. The bride couldn’t stop raving about Amy’s gorgeous floral arrangements, and the first look between Janessa and Dave was an emotional moment they’d been waiting to experience for months. We’re so grateful to have captured the Santa Barbara micro wedding photos for this inspiring couple.
