As seen on Martha Stewart Weddings
Kiersten and Ruairi’s Grassini Family Vineyards wedding was truly nothing short of spectacular. It’s the level of artistry you might expect from a creative event designer with help from her wedding day dream team vendor friends. Friend of the bride (and fellow photographer) Wade Carr helped Kiersten design the custom ceremony backdrop, then built it himself (WHAT!). Amy from Stella Bloom Designs decked out the venue with her floral genius, and the entire day was a modern-boho-luxe dream come true.
At the reception, dining tables were color blocked in four different shades of La Tavola velvet linen (with matching glassware from Borrowed Blu and killer menus from Prim & Pixie). That golden hour light right after ceremony was perfection (the sunbeams through that tree?! Come on!!). One of the groomsmen played an acoustic version of “Harvest Moon” for the couple’s first dance, and the epic dance party that followed was, well, epic.
The bride, Kiersten, is an owner for the amazing firm LB Event Planning. When she and Ruairi approached me to be their wedding photographer, I nearly fell out of my chair. I was so damn excited; when another wedding industry professional asks you to be part of their own wedding day team, it’s pretty incredible. But enough about me. I’m just saying — I was VERY stoked.
I bathed in the afterglow of this wedding for weeks afterwards. Fleetwood Mac was on repeat on my car stereo. I recommend “Gypsy” as background music while you peruse the images below.
