Mary and Kevin’s New England wedding in Salem was extraordinary, celebratory, emotional. It was a whirlwind and it was magic.
I met Mary and Kevin while photographing Celeste and Matt’s wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch last year; Mary was a bridesmaid (and also Celeste’s cousin). When it was her turn to tie the knot, she invited me to Salem, the historic New England town (and Boston suburb) best known for its infamous witch trials in the late 1600s, to photograph her wedding to Kevin.
The couple’s ceremony took place at Immaculate Conception Parish, then guests headed to Salem Commons to meet up with the bride and groom (after we took some bridal party portraits around town). From there, we marched with a second line band to the reception at Hamilton Hall. It was so crazy fun! OH, and can we talk about their sweet pup Rondo?! I’ve always had a soft spot for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and Rondo is a real heartbreaker.
Seriously, what a wonderful wedding! It was pretty rad to be in New England in autumn, too. I’m so honored and grateful that Mary and Kevin chose me to travel to Massachusetts to help them celebrate.
